Эта программа предназначена для записи дисков (CD, DVD, Blu-Ray и пр.). Droppix Recorder поддерживает все основные форматы записи, среди которых DAO, TAO, SAO, мультисессия, перепрожиг и пр. Программа записывает аудио диски, а также может создать диск с видео (Video CD (VCD), Super Video CD (SVCD), Extended Video CD (XVCD), Extended Super Video CD (XSVCD), Mini-DVD и DVD), который будет воспроизводиться на стационарном плеере. Кроме функции записи дисков, в Droppix Recorder имеется возможность нанесения на поверхность дисков этикетки по технологии Lightscribe
