I know I’ve been waiting for someone to save me from thoughts that go bump in my head...
But lately I’m finding a general lull in the number of saviours whose hearts aren’t dead...
Now there’s a lot of compassion expressed in conversation but style seems to warrant the trade...
I know its not fashion that causes this reaction but somebody’s got to take the blame...

Oh, I’m sure I will grow to be a good man but for now I am still just a boy...
And I still believe in the soul of purest rock and roll but I can’t find that romance their still singing about...

Oh, I thought for a moment due to someone’s interventions that you might like to sit down...
Oh, and play the good role of the beautiful lady who makes everyday worth my while...
But as it turns out (I was just another passer-by whose soul you thought looked nice to squeeze...
